Hear from a critical care colleague, How Working in an ICU Changed Me
"Even though my job is to take care of sick children in the ICU, I always see myself as a pediatician first. I'm a pediatrician who happens to work in the ICU. This is why I feel it is so important to mainatin a stron, vibrant connection to the Academy via the Secion on Critical Care; to contribute to the guidelines that the AAP develops for all pediatricians, to be directly connected to the crusial advocacy work of the AAP that affects all children and to help in guiding future pediatric residents and fellows."
