Attend the 2024 Best Practices for Active Teaching and Learning Webinar to learn how to effectively engage learners and make an impact through education. Developed and presented by AAP Committee on CME members who are leading experts in CME/CPD, tools and resources to support educators and practical strategies for engaging learners will be discussed. Time will be available for questions and answers.

Learning Objectives
After participating in this session, you will be able to:

  • Describe principles of adult learning theory and characteristics of an effective teacher.
  • Describe how the Best Practices Guide to Teaching and Learning framework can be used to plan active learning activities.
  • Identify and implement appropriate interactive techniques in educational activities.

MOC Part 2 Points
To earn one ABP MOC Part 2 Point, participants will need to attend the webinar on June 18, 2024, complete a reflective assessment, and successfully meet the passing standard. The deadline to complete the assessment (one time submission) will be July 19, 2024.

Cancellations

Physician - 2024 Best Practices for Active Teaching and Learning Webinar - June 18, 2024

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The AAP designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This activity is acceptable for a maximum of 1.00 AAP credits. These credits can be applied toward the AAP CME/CPD Award available to Fellows and Candidate Members of the AAP.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn up to 1.00 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.

Allied Health Professional - 2024 Best Practices for Active Teaching and Learning Webinar - June 18, 2024

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

PAs may claim a maximum of 1.00 Category 1 credits for completing this activity. NCCPA accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society.

This program is accredited for 1.00 NAPNAP CE contact hours of which 0.00 contain pharmacology (Rx) content, (0.00 related to psychopharmacology) (0.00 related to controlled substances), per the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) Continuing Education Guidelines. The AAP is designated as Agency #A17. Upon completion of the program, each participant desiring NAPNAP contact hours must send a completed certificate of attendance to ce@napnap.org. Payment of $15 for NAPNAP members and nonmembers is required via credit card for all NAPNAP contact hour requests. Keep this certificate for your records for six (6) years. Requests for duplicate certificates should be made to the AAP.
