Dues/year:

Medical Students and Residents - $0*
All other national member types - $30*
Council Affiliates - $60

* In addition to national dues

Special Requirements: All AAP members with an interest in some aspect of community pediatrics can join the section. 

 

Specialty fellows

Licensed Pediatricians eligible for Specialty Fellow membership must be certified by the American Board of Preventative Medicine, and devote 50% of their professional activities to the care of infants, children and adolescents through age 21. ​

Specialty Fellow applicants must submit:

  • Copy of board certification

  • One letter of support from a supervisor, AAP Fellow or Specialty Fellow attesting to the fact that the applicant does spend more than 50% of their professional time caring for children or supporting child health issues.

 

Council affiliate membership

1. Licensed MDs, DOs, NPs or RNs not eligible for AAP membership.  

Licensed physician affiliate applicants must submit:

  • One letter from a pediatrician detailing the applicant’s involvement in community pediatrics

  • A copy of applicant’s current CV

2. International pediatricians who do not meet the requirements of National AAP membership.

International Applicants must submit:

  • A current CV that details the applicant’s involvement in community pediatrics​

3. Allied Health Professionals with an interest in community pediatrics.

Allied Health Professional applicants must submit:

  • One letter of recommendation from a Fellow or Specialty Fellow detailing the applicant’s involvement in community pediatrics

  • Copy of license in relevant profession

  • Copy of current CV or resume​
