COCM Membership Criteria

Council membership is open to the following member types:

• Associate Members
• Candidate Members
• Corresponding Fellows
• Fellows
• Fellowship Trainees
• Honorary Fellows
• International Members
• National Affiliates
• Medical Students
• Residents
• Senior Members
• Specialty Fellows

Dues/year:

Medical Students, Residents and Fellowship Trainees- $0*
All other national member types- $25*
Section Affiliates - $60

*In addition to national dues

Special Requirements:

Must have an interest and commitment to enhancing their own ability and the ability of other pediatricians to effectively use and/or understand the media to improve child health and promote pediatrics by sharing experiences, strategies, success, and failure.

Council affiliate membership

1. Licensed physicians not eligible for AAP membership interested in using the media to improve child health or promote pediatrics and/or understanding how the media affects child health.
2. All other individuals interested in using the media to improve child health or promote pediatrics and/or understanding how the media affects child health.

Affiliate applicants must submit:

1. Two letters of recommendation from Fellow or Specialty Fellow members of the Council
2. Copy of Curriculum Vitae
