Section Affiliate Membership
- Licensed physicians not eligible for membership in the Academy.
- Licensed health professionals such as nursing professionals, physician assistants, and medical examiners.
- Licensed mental health professionals such as counselors or social workers.
- Legal experts including lawyers and law enforcement.
- Public health experts or researchers with a masters or doctoral degree and relevant experience.
With the application for membership, an Affiliate member applicant shall submit:
- One letter of support from an AAP member who is a member of the Section on Child Death Review and Prevention, the Council on Injury and Violence Prevention, or the Council on Child Abuse and Neglect and has agreed to sponsor/mentor the applicant.
- Curriculum Vitae or other evidence of involvement related to child death review and/or fetal infant mortality review (e.g., copies of minutes or print materials that feature the applicant's name).
