Special Requirements: Must have an interest in and commitment to enhancing pediatric care by advocating for continued research on complementary therapies and effectively integrating appropriate complementary therapies into comprehensive care for infants, children, and young adults.
Section Affiliate membership
The Section may recruit affiliate members who are interested in the study or practice of pediatric integrative medicine and are interested in contributing toward the objectives of the Section. Approved affiliate membership categories include:
1. Licensed physicians not eligible for National AAP membership with professional and/or personal experience and interest in integrative medicine.
Applicants must submit:
Two letters of recommendation from AAP fellows in good standing.
2. Licensed mental health providers such as psychologists, social workers or counselors who are demonstrably active in pediatric integrative medicine with at least 50% of professional time dedicated to pediatric patients.
Applicants must submit:
- Copy of medical license
- Two letters of recommendation from AAP Fellows in Good Standing. One must be from a member of the Section on Integrative Medicine who can verify that the provider is active in pediatric integrative medicine.
