- Must be a member of the AAP, SoNPM, and TECaN
- Current Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellow in any year of training

Benefits of the TECaN Program Delegate Position
- Gain leadership experience and recognition within the AAP as a Program Delegate
- Share the benefits of TECaN membership and neonatology resources with your co-fellows
- Network with other Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellows and early career neonatologists through the TECaN organization as well as SoNPM district and national conferences
- Build professional and mentoring relationships with more senior neonatologists
- Expand and broaden experiences with regards to different clinical practices, quality improvement initiatives, and research opportunities to improve the quality of life for the neonatal population
- Opportunity to collaborate with other fellows and neonatologists on various projects within the TECaN group
- Extra consideration is given to program delegates for travel grants and scholarships
TECaN Program Delegate Responsibilities
- Act as primary contact from your fellowship program to the TECaN District Fellow Representative throughout the duration of program delegate role in fellowship
- Ensure all fellows at your program are subscribed to the listserv and receiving newsflashes/updates
- Serve as a liaison for your program co-fellow members to network with the TECaN executive council and other members
- Disseminate important TECaN information and news to fellowship program members, such as the TECaN welcome letter, regional conference information, scholarship and grant opportunities, and Committee resources
- Provide content for a spotlight feature of your fellowship program to be placed on the TECaN website or in a TECaN Newsflash email that can range from program QI, research, advocacy, and leadership activities
- Assist your program director in identifying a new program delegate at the end of your term/fellowship training
