Beside Every Successful Pediatrician is a Very Skilled Practice Manager

The AAP Pediatric Practice Management Alliance is the virtual home for pediatric practice managers and provides timely and accurate information to pediatric practice managers, to support pediatricians as well as collateral support of other non-physician clinical providers in the office setting (e.g., nurses, psychologists, and other professionals) in establishing and maintaining practices that are fiscally sound and efficient and that provide quality health care to children and families.

PPMA Member Benefits

Members of the PPMA have access to the brightest minds in pediatric practice management, the most creative and effective techniques to improve profitability, up-to-date information on healthcare related issues, as well as many educational opportunities to help practice managers or administrators grow professionally.

PPMA members have access to a range of resources designed to support pediatric practice management, including:

  • An active online community where members can ask questions, exchange ideas, troubleshoot challenges, and share practical resources with peers, including forms, templates, and office protocols. (current members can log in at community.aap.org)
  • Networking opportunities with pediatric practice managers from across the country, including monthly informal chat sessions that help members build relationships, share experiences, and learn from one another.
  • Webinars focused on timely and relevant practice management topics, such as health insurance, contract negotiation, coding and billing, and physician compensation models.
  • Member-written newsletters that highlight practical insights, emerging issues, and shared experiences in pediatric practice management.
  • Weekly “STAT” polls that capture member perspectives on current practice management topics, including vaccine ordering, coding and billing, staffing, HR resources, and practice operations.
  • Updated practice management content, including articles, tools, guidance, and protocols to help pediatric practices operate effectively and efficiently.

At its core, PPMA membership connects practice managers with colleagues who understand the day-to-day realities of running a pediatric practice. Members gain a trusted community of peers who are committed to supporting high-quality care for children while helping practices remain strong, sustainable, and financially healthy.
