The mission of the AAP Section on Simulation and Innovative Learning Methods (SoSILM) is to support the education and research interests of AAP members engaged in simulation and innovative learning in order to attain optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being for all infants, children, adolescents and young adults.

1. Work synergistically in all pediatric simulation efforts within and beyond the AAP through connection and partnership.
2. Provide simulation and innovative learning programming to section members and the AAP through continuous and innovative approaches to content and resources.
3. Lead pediatric simulation and innovative learning efforts world-wide through career development and award recognition for educators and leaders.
