The Acute Flaccid Myelitis (AFM) Micro-Learning Sessions (MLS) is a 6-part PediaLink course designed to increase awareness and knowledge among pediatric health care professionals about AFM and ensure the prompt recognition, diagnosis, treatment, and reporting of AFM cases in the US to local public health departments, as well as optimal care of patients with AFM. The course and accompanying supplemental educational materials were designed to provide pediatricians with the information and resources they need to care for children and youth with AFM within the context of a medical home and in coordination with their medical team of pediatric health care providers.
