Collaborative Improvement and Innovation Network to Advance Care for Children with Medical Complexity

The Collaborative Improvement and Innovation Network to Advance Care for Children with Medical Complexity (CMC CoIIN), a project funded by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau of the Health Resources and Services Administration, and led by Boston University in partnership with the AAP and other partners worked with 10 interprofessional state teams to:

  1. Improve the quality of life for children with medically complex conditions
  2. Improve the well-being of their families
  3. Increase the cost effectiveness of their care

State teams made improvements in many areas important to CMC and their families, including family engagement, shared decision making, medical home, care coordination and more. Visit the CMC CoIIN website for more information on the project and for an overview of the project’s impact.
