The AAP Maternal Infant Health Outcomes for Pregnant, Postpartum and Parenting Persons (MIP4) program developed summaries of promising practices that are advancing components of the patient- and family-centered pediatric medical home in mental health screening and treatment referral for postpartum and parenting people.

Promising practices refer to techniques, strategies and/or interventions used by pediatric health professionals that show some evidence or expectation of effectiveness of enhancing outcomes for perinatal mental health. Practices share their innovative approaches of care including challenges and lessons learned.
