National Center for Traumatic Stress Network is a collaborative network of experts created to further the development and dissemination of evidence-based clinical interventions for systems that serve children, adolescents, and families. The NCTSN Website includes information on trauma treatments, screening and assessment tools, guidance and resources on trauma-informed care and a number of resources for professionals and families.

The Care Process Model for Pediatric Traumatic Stress (CPM-PTS) is a brief screening and response protocol guiding the identification of, and response to, traumatic stress in children seen in healthcare and other pediatric settings, such as primary care clinics and Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs). Created as part of the Pediatric Integrated Post-Trauma Services (PIPS) project of the University of Utah Center for Safe & Healthy Families, the CPM-PTS also guides family decision making, links at-risk children to evidence-based trauma therapy, and encourages providers’ use of in-office interventions to help families cope with stress associated with exposure to a traumatic event.
