The implementation date for the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD- 10-CM) has been delayed by legislation--signed April 2, 2014--until October 1, 2015. The AAP is developing resources to assist in the transition as well as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). CMS has set up numerous resources to aid in the transition for providers to deal with vendors, clearinghouses, and payers.
