COCP honors outstanding community pediatricians and young people ages 10–24 with the following awards:
This award will honor a young person who has made a meaningful impact in advancing children’s rights and/or health through advocacy, community action, peer support, storytelling, public education, or partnership with pediatricians and other professionals.
Entry deadline: March 31, 2026 at 11:59pm CST
The Local Hero Award recognizes pediatricians, including early career pediatricians, that lead community action and advocacy for children in local communities. This award is presented to individuals who epitomize the "community pediatrician”.
