SOAPM Membership Criteria

Section Membership is open to the following Member types:

• Associate Members
• Candidate Members
• Corresponding Fellows
• Fellows
• Fellowship Trainees
• Honorary Fellows
• International Members
• Medical Students
• National Affiliates
• Resident Members
• Senior Members
• Specialty Fellows

Dues/year: 

• Medical Students - $0*
• Residents - $10*
• Senior Members - $0*
• All other National member types - $30*
• Section Affiliates - $95 or $340 (see below for details)

*In addition to national dues. 

Section Affiliate Membership

1. Non-physicians who are actively involved in the administration and practice of pediatric medicine and employed by or are under the direct supervision of a Fellow of the AAP - Dues/year: $95

   
   Applicants must submit:

   1. 1. 1. CV/Resume
2. Non-practice administrators employed in a job intimately related to pediatric practice management such as, but not limited to, practice management consultants and other business partners - Dues/year: $340   

   
   Applicants must agree to:

   • • Not solicit clients via Section postions/activites
     • Not promote their company via Section activities

   Applicants must submit:  

   • • CV/Resume
3. AAP Chapter Staff  who are employed by a state AAP Chapter and are actively engaged in supporting pediatric practice, advocacy, education, or operations. Eligible applicants must demonstrate a professional role that contributes meaningfully to the mission and activities of the Section. Dues/year: $0

Applicants must agree to:

• • Use their official Chapter email address for all group-related communications
  • Respect the confidentiality of group discussions and communications where appropriate
  • Not promote their Chapter via Section activities

Applicants must submit:

• • CV/Resume or Proof of Chapter employment
