About Our Quality Improvement Initiatives

Are you looking for virtual quality improvement (QI) opportunities? 

The Institute for Healthy Childhood Weight has been conducting quality improvement projects for over ten years and has successfully supported over 200 practice teams across the country through their quality improvement (QI) goals. In 2024 we awarded 1,460 MOC Part 2 credits and 1,580 CME credits to participants through our QI initiatives. Please complete the interest form to receive updates when projects are recruiting.

Optimize Infant and Toddler Feeding for Obesity Prevention

Focus: Improving Early Obesity Prevention (children under 2)

Duration: 19-week Virtual QI Project

Assessment & Evaluation of Pediatric Obesity

Focus: Improving Obesity Evaluation and Assessment 
Visit Type: Well Visits
Duration: 25-week Virtual QI Project

Childhood Obesity Treatment & Approach

Focus: Improving Obesity Treatment   
Visit type: Obesity Follow-Up Visits 
Duration: 33-week Virtual QI Collaborative

The Healthy Weight Clinic

The Healthy Weight Clinic (HWC) is a CDC-recognized Family Healthy Weight Program that delivers Intensive Health Behavior Lifestyle Treatment (IHBLT) for children and adolescents with overweight or obesity consistent with AAP guidelines. The Virtual QI Collaborative is 12-months out of a 5-year project commitment.
