NRP 9th Edition Materials

The American Academy of Pediatrics has partnered with Copyright Clearance Center’s RightsLink® service to process all permission requests for NRP material. Requests to reproduce material from NRP materials should be directed to Copyright Clearance Center's RightsLink®.

To request permission, find the NRP publication that contains the content you would like to use on the AAP eBooks site at http://ebooks.aappublications.org/. Click the NRP publication, then click the "Get Permissions" link (in blue font, under and to the right of the publication title). The following RightsLink® page will launch immediately (turn off your pop-up blocker if it does not appear):

Indicate how AAP content would like to be used by completing the online form. Then log in to your existing RightsLink account (or create a new one), complete the transaction, and save or print your license. The AAP is reminding members to be aware of where they purchase resources after discovering several bootleg versions of the Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, and Neonatal Simulation: A Practical Guide.

The Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Steering Committee wants to caution the NRP community that counterfeit texts may have content changes or errors that may impact patient safety/care. Additional complaints about the counterfeit texts include missing pages, insecure bindings, slanted text, blurry and pixelated pictures, and inaccurate colors that do not support clinical guidance.

The AAP is continually working to cease the distribution of these counterfeit texts. Please be a cautious consumer.

The 9th edition NRP Essentials Provider Curriculum is $65 and the NRP Advanced Provider Curriculum is $75 when purchased individually. There are bulk discounts available with institutional purchases. Both curricula include access to the NRP 9th edition eBook.

The Essentials Provider curriculum covers lessons 1-4. The Advanced Provider curriculum covers lessons 1-11. Lessons 12 through 16 are supplemental lessons that anyone can study for knowledge enhancement, but there are no exam questions on the content in those lessons.

An NRP eBook is included with all NRP Provider and Instructor online courseware.
