(PROS) is a primary care practice-based research network (PBRN) of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Our mission is to improve the health of children and enhance pediatric primary care practice by conducting and fostering national collaborative practice-based research.

Participating AAP PROS practices are primarily engaged in general pediatrics and include office-based practices, hospital-based ambulatory care centers, medical school-based practices, and community health clinics. The use of the AAP’s PROS network provides a unique resource to assess outcomes with national scope. The overall demographics of patients in practices participating in recent AAP PROS studies are similar to child estimates in the 2020 U.S. Census.
