What’s Best for Children?

The answer to that question motivates everything we do at the American Academy of Pediatrics. It’s what inspires our supporters, too. We build relationships with organizations based on trust, authenticity, and a shared commitment to children’s health.

Why Invest in Child Health

Children make up 22% of the U.S. population, but they shape 100% of your future employees, customers, and communities. When kids struggle, the effects show up later in workforce readiness, health care costs, and community stability.

Child health is also one of the places your dollars can have the biggest impact: Every $1 that goes toward quality early childhood programs transforms into $4 to $17 in returns, according to Nobel Prize-winning economist James Heckman, Ph.D.

What It Means To Work With the AAP

Parents put a lot of trust in pediatricians. In the first year alone, babies see their pediatrician at least eight times. Standing behind those physicians—developing science-backed policy, empowering parents with accurate information, and advocating for child health—is the AAP.

We feel that responsibility deeply, to our 67,000 pediatrician members and the millions of children in their care. That’s why we thoroughly vet every potential supporter to ensure they’re the right fit. Support takes many forms, but we hold all these relationships to the same high ethical standards. Shared Values

We invite you to collaborate with us if you share our commitment to child health and the principles of evidence-based medicine. We work with companies whose products or practices support the health and well-being of infants, children, teens, and young adults.

Independence

The AAP maintains full independence in its editorial and strategic activities. Financial supporters have no influence over AAP content, policies, or leadership decisions.

Knowledge Sharing

We encourage anyone to cite AAP resources, link to our websites AAP.org and HealthyChildren.org, and share our social media posts. Corporate supporters also receive a monthly newsletter with the latest news in child health. (Please note that to protect the trust parents place in us, supporters may not use our branding in promotional content, except in rare cases with prior written permission.)

Transparency

We love it when supporters are excited to talk about the AAP, but let’s keep it clear and honest. Supporters may not frame their relationship with us in ways that mislead, suggest preferential access, or imply influence on AAP activities. We do not endorse products or services, nor do we offer a seal of approval. We’re all about transparency, and we know you are, too.

Ways to Collaborate with Us

There are many ways to support the AAP, but the following list represents some of our most effective options. Don’t see what you’re looking for here? Connect with us and we’ll talk it through.
