This educational initiative aims to equip participants with foundational business and management knowledge, including:

Basic Business Principles: Fundamental concepts (financial management, cash flow, budgeting, business structures, etc.).

Coding/Payment Basics: Importance of coding compliance based on CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding and documentation guidelines, denial management, and maximizing an EHR to streamline documentation and charge capture based on individual payer.

Human Resources: Leadership, organizational culture, and recruiting, hiring/contracting, training, managing, and retaining clinical and administrative staff.

Credentialing/Contracting: Payment models, credentialing, insurance panels, and contract negotiation for appropriate payment rates.

This program is accredited for 13.25 NAPNAP CE contact hours of which 0.00 contain pharmacology (Rx) content, (0.00 related to psychopharmacology) (0.00 related to controlled substances), per the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) Continuing Education Guidelines. The AAP is designated as Agency #A17. Upon completion of the program, each participant desiring NAPNAP contact hours must send a completed certificate of attendance to [email protected]. Payment of $15 for NAPNAP members and nonmembers is required via credit card for all NAPNAP contact hour requests. Keep this certificate for your records for six (6) years.
