Susan Fuchs, MD, FAAP, FACEP
Dr Susan Fuchs, MD, FAAP, FACEP, is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. She is the EMS Medical Director and an Attending Physician in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. She received her medical degree from the Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Franklin University, completed her pediatric residency at Michael Reese Hospital, and her fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Children’s Memorial Hospital—both formerly located in Chicago. She is the Co-Editor of the textbook Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP), for the 3rd, 4th, and the new 5th edition. She is a board member of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the EMS Professions (CoAEMSP), representing the AAP. Her interests include EMS, Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC), and educating residents, fellows, and healthcare professionals, including paramedics and EMTs.

Mike McEvoy, PhD, NRP, RN, CCRN
Mike McEvoy, PhD, NRP, RN, CCRN, is the EMS Coordinator for Saratoga County, New York, a Paramedic Supervisor, and the Professional Development Coordinator for Clifton Park & Halfmoon EMS. He is a nurse clinician in the adult and pediatric cardiac surgical ICUs at Albany Medical Center. Mike is the chief medical officer and firefighter/paramedic for West Crescent Fire Department. Mike is the chair of the National Registry of EMTs board of directors, Secretary/Treasurer of the National EMS Quality Alliance, and Immediate Past Chair of the NY State Governor’s EMS Council. In addition to serving as Editor for “Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals, 5th Edition,” he is a lead editor for the Jones & Bartlett textbook, “Critical Care Transport” and the Informed emergency and critical care pocket guide series. In his free time, Mike is an avid hiker and winter mountain climber.

Jennifer F. Anders, MD, FAAP
Jennifer Anders, MD, FAAP, FAEMS, is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician and EMS physician in Baltimore Maryland. She is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and serves the children and EMS clinicians of Maryland in the role of Associate State Medical Director (Pediatrics) at the Maryland Institute of EMS Systems. Dr Anders was the chair of the PEPP steering committee from 2019 to 2025 and is a Co-Editor of the PEPP 5th Edition textbook and Co-Chair of the PEPP 5th Edition course development team. Dr Anders is a prolific educator and active researcher in pediatric prehospital care, with interests in pediatric transport patterns and destination selection, high-performance CPR, and discontinuation of resuscitation. She loves teaching and learning from EMS clinicians.
