Join us for the Section on Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery’s virtual course, Visual Otitis Media Recognizing Middle Ear Infections and Complications.
Ear disease is one of the most common problems seen by the pediatrician, and treatments can vary with changing research. This course is designed for pediatricians, family physicians, and pediatric allied health professionals seeking to improve their knowledge of common and complex pediatric external and middle ear conditions.
Multiple forms of otitis media, from acute to serous to mucoid to borderline, will be shown with different scenarios including children of different ages, with different signs and symptoms, and varying lengths of duration. The moderator will show pictures of middle ear disease and its complications, and expert panelists will discuss what they see in the images and what they believe is appropriate treatment. The risks and benefits of different approaches will be discussed.
