The Diagnosis and Treatment of Common Pediatric Mental Health Disorders Course is appropriate for general pediatricians, family physicians, pediatric subspecialists, and any pediatric provider interested in the care of children with mental health disorders.

It is designed to enable participants to learn critical concepts in the recognition of pediatric mental health disorders and apply evidence-based strategies to manage patients’ illnesses effectively and efficiently. The course will also provide strategies for collaborating with non-local mental health providers in facilitating ongoing care and referral if necessary.

The AAP reserves the right to cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances or to limit enrollments, should attendance exceed capacity. Course educational sessions are open only to registered attendees.

Cancellations
Registration cancellations for this course must be received in writing at registration@aap.org no later than March 24, 2025 to receive a refund. An administrative fee of $50 will be deducted. Refunds will not be issued if the pre-course, on-demand sessions, or materials have been accessed by the registrant at any time.

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

PAs may claim a maximum of 16.00 Category 1 credits for completing this activity. NCCPA accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society.

This program is accredited for 16.00 NAPNAP CE contact hours of which 0.00 contain pharmacology (Rx) content, (0.00 related to psychopharmacology) (0.00 related to controlled substances), per the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) Continuing Education Guidelines. The AAP is designated as Agency #A17. Upon completion of the program, each participant desiring NAPNAP contact hours must send a completed certificate of attendance to ce@napnap.org. Payment of $15 for NAPNAP members and nonmembers is required via credit card for all NAPNAP contact hour requests. Keep this certificate for your records for six (6) years.
