The 2026 Pediatric Hospital Medicine Conference (PHM 2026) is the premier educational and networking conference for pediatric hospitalists and other professionals specializing in the care of hospitalized children. The largest meeting of its kind for pediatric hospitalists, the conference is co-sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the AAP Section on Hospital Medicine (SOHM), the Academic Pediatric Association (APA), and the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM).

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of PHM 2026, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the most cost-efficient, optimal care for a range of pediatric patients.
  • Plan treatment strategies for the management of a range of clinical conditions using current evidence, guidelines and recommendations.
  • Describe how to implement appropriate evidence-based guidelines and recommendations to diagnose and implement treatment plans for delivering safe, effective patient-centered care.

By participating in PHM 2026, you will be able to:

HOTEL RESERVATIONS
Special group rates beginning at $219 per night, plus tax, for single or double occupancy, have been negotiated at the Kansas City Marriott Downtown. These rates represent substantial savings from published rates. The cutoff date for reservations at the group rate is July 7, 2026. Reserve your room using the direct hotel booking link.

A limited number of guest rooms have been reserved, and they are assigned based on availability (first-come, first-served). Please be aware that the room block may be filled prior to July 7, 2026; in such a case, neither the group rate nor guest room availability can be guaranteed. The AAP, therefore, recommends that you make your reservations as early as possible beginning in Spring 2026.

To accommodate as many course participants as possible, registrants will be permitted to reserve no more than two rooms in the AAP’s hotel room block. If rooms remain available in the AAP room block on July 8, 2026, registrants may reserve additional rooms as needed.

Any reservations not affiliated with a registered AAP course attendee or exceeding the two-room limit per attendee may be removed from the AAP room block, and the room rate will revert to hotel’s published rate.

Registration Confirmation 
Your registration will be confirmed. Please contact the AAP Registration Area if you do not receive a confirmation within 7 days. The AAP cannot be responsible for expenses incurred by an individual who is not confirmed and for whom space is not available at this course. The AAP reserves the right to cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances or to limit enrollments, should attendance exceed capacity. Course educational sessions are open only to registered attendees.

Cancellation Policy
Registration cancellations for this conference must be received in writing at [email protected] no later than July 7, 2026 to receive a refund, less a $75 administrative fee.

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

PAs may claim a maximum of 20.00 Category 1 credits for completing this activity. NCCPA accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society.

This program is accredited for 20.00 NAPNAP CE contact hours of which 0.00 contain pharmacology (Rx) content, (0.00 related to psychopharmacology) (0.00 related to controlled substances), per the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) Continuing Education Guidelines. The AAP is designated as Agency #A17. Upon completion of the program, each participant desiring NAPNAP contact hours must send a completed certificate of attendance to [email protected].
