Robin L. Michaelson worked on the AAP slate of books published by Bantam during her time there as a nonfiction editor. She oversaw revisions of the popular Caring titles and also developed new AAP titles such as Your Baby’s First Year and The New Mother’s Guide to Breastfeeding and AAP Guide to Toilet Training. She also edited the bestselling title The Happiest Baby on the Block. She has continued to freelance edit and write while raising her two daughters in Brooklyn, NY. Robin and her husband adopted their older daughter (now age 11) from China when she was one.

Elaine E. Schulte, MD, MPH, FAAP is a board-certified pediatrician and Vice Chair, Academic Affairs and Faculty Development at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, and Professor of Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. She is the former Department Chair of General Pediatrics and Vice Chair of Cleveland Clinic Children’s, and former professor of pediatrics at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner School of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Schulte is a member of the AAP Executive Committee on the Council of Foster Care, Adoption, and Kinship Care. She has practiced adoption medicine for over twenty years, and is the mother of two adopted children from China.
