​Learn About Oral Health

The Section offers a variety of educational materials and tools for pediatric providers and the public. As a member you help the Section produce and update these tools to help yourself and others understand and address oral health.  

Network

The Section on Oral Health offers opportunities for members to network with medical and dental professionals at our Annual Conference and through out listserv. Join and make a new friend!

Contribute

Looking for an opportunity to contribute to the field of oral health in primary care? Join the Section on Oral Health and contribute by writing blog posts, composing Healthychildren.org articles, developing educational materials, presenting at meetings, etc.​​

The Section on Oral Health is open to a variety of medical and dental professionals. In order to engage in medical/dental collaboration we rely on the involvement of dentists, hygienists, pediatricians, nurse practitioners, physician's assistants, and others in our work. Please see below for the different membership categories and choose the one that best describes you. We look forward to welcoming you to the Section. Email oralhealth@aap.org if you have any questions for need assistance joining.

AAP Section Member
Open to pediatricians who are already members of the AAP. To join the Section fill out the Online Council/Section Membership Application. Email oralhealth@aap.org if you need assistance. Membership to the section is $20 per year.

AAP Associate Member
Open to pediatric dentists who are currently members of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. To join the AAP and the Section, fill out and submit the Associate Member application. Yearly dues are $354.

AAP National Affiliate Member
Open to physician's assistants. To join the Section fill out the Online Council/Section Membership Application. Yearly dues for physician's assistants are $20. 

AAP Section Affiliate Member
Open to general dentists and retired pediatric dentists, allied health professionals including dental hygienists, dental assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, pediatric residents, and pediatric dental residents. To join the Section, fill out and submit the Council/Section Affiliate Member application. Yearly dues for allied health professionals are $60. Yearly dues for pediatric dentistry residents are $20.

Pediatric Resident or Medical Student Section Member
Yearly dues for pediatric residents and medical students are free.​​
