Leadership Opportunities

Over the last year, in addition to changing our name from SOMSRFT to the sleek new SOPT, we have worked to enhance and update our leadership structure. This new structure will help make our Section more efficient, streamline our communication and create more opportunities for trainees to engage as leaders within the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Now that the structure is built, it is time to start filling these positions with dedicated, passionate pediatric leaders!

Below you will find all of the open positions, a link to their position descriptions, and a link to the application. Click here to see an overview of the new governance structure, in addition to more information on each of the positions, how they are selected and qualifications. Please note that for some of the positions it is required that you attend the AAP National Conference and Exhibition in San Francisco. Specifically, our SOPT Assembly, which is Saturday, October 22nd.
