The AAP Section on Orthopaedics presents awards to students, residents, and fellows as part of the Section's annual two-day academic and scientific program at the AAP National Conference & Exhibition.
Distinguished Service Award
The AAP Section on Orthopaedics established the Distinguished Service Award in 1995 to recognize an individual in the field of pediatric orthopaedics who has contributed to the AAP's mission of excellence in patient care, research, and teaching.

Global Mentored Scholarship Program
The AAP Section on Orthopaedics (SOOr) offers awards of up to $1,500 to orthopaedic residents and pediatric orthopaedic fellows in the United States and Canada who are interested in providing musculoskeletal care to children in resource-poor regions of the world. The scholarship program facilitates mentored experiences for young surgeons in training.
Applications are accepted from July 1 thru November 1. Successful applicants are notified by December 31.
This program is offered through a generous grant from K2M Corporation.

Educational Travel Scholarships
The AAP Section on Orthopaedics offers "in-training" physicians (medical students; residents; future, current, or former fellows) who are planning to attend the Section's annual program during the AAP National Conference & Exhibition an opportunity to apply for $500 scholarships to use toward travel and meeting-related expenses.
