AAP Leadership

Variety of leadership roles involved in the governing the American Academy of Pediatrics not-for-profit Illinois corporation.

  • Leadership

    The Academy is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of thirteen members and the Executive Committee for a total of seventeen members. The AAP Executive Committee – consisting of the President, President-Elect, Immediate Past President, Secretary/Treasurer and the CEO/Executive Vice President – conducts AAP business on a daily basis. Members vote each year for a national President-Elect. The AAP is a not-for-profit Illinois corporation. At the state level, AAP Chapters are individually incorporated, have their own bylaws and further the aims of the national organization as well as their local priorities.
