It’s recommended that children and teens get at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity every day. In a new public service announcement for February 2020, the American Academy of Pediatrics offers tips for parents to help their kids reach that goal, by building on activities they already enjoy, and keeping the focus on fun – not winning. The 30-second PSA, “Keep Kids Active” features pediatrician Dr. Shelly Flais. It is available for download at https://digitalmedia.vnr1.com/2019/10/08/aap_psas_2020/
A series of PSAs will be offered for the calendar year 2020. For more information, contact AAP Public Affairs at firstname.lastname@example.org or 630-626-6877.
The American Academy of Pediatrics is an organization of 67,000 primary care pediatricians, pediatric medical subspecialists and pediatric surgical specialists dedicated to the health, safety and well-being of infants, children, adolescents and young adults.
