About the Council

Children are a significant portion of the population and infants, children, adolescents, and young adults have unique physical, mental, behavioral, developmental, communication, therapeutic, and social needs that require advance consideration in disaster planning. The council will help to encourage children's needs to be considered and addressed in all aspects of disaster preparedness and recovery. Please consider partnering with these members by joining this new council.

The council benefits will help you:

  • Become aware of the latest disaster management policies, breaking news, and research.

  • Learn how to make a greater impact by getting involved in regional, state, hospital, and health care coalition planning for children.
