The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) mission is to attain optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being for all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. The AAP partners with the Emergency Medical Services for Children Innovation and Improvement Center (EMSC IIC) to advance pediatric emergency medicine and disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.

The AAP, the American College of Emergency Physicians, the Emergency Nurses Association and the National Association of State EMS Officials have a demonstrated interest in ensuring quality care for children, especially during emergencies or disasters. EMSC stakeholders can enhance their reach at the community and state levels and improve their ability to implement EMSC activities by connecting with these organizational partners to build relationships with national and state-level experts and partners.
