Syphilis

Syphilis is a systemic disease that progresses in stages.

Prevention​​ 

The best way to prevent a syphilis infection is abstinence from anal, oral, and vaginal sex. However, use of male latex condoms is a good way to reduce the risk of getting or giving syphilis. 

Here are some guidelines from the USPSTF for preventing and screening for syphilis in non-pregnant adults and adolescents.
