CHPHC Committees

As needed, individuals are able to volunteer their time, talent and expertise through participation in consortium workgroups and committees. A shared passion for the mission has enabled individuals and organizations with parallel, and even sometimes divergent, perspectives to collaborate and innovate towards a common purpose. By members working together, the CHPHC is able to align the priorities of the different perspectives resulting in outputs such as the various informational handouts, articles and manuscripts that have been developed by the CHPHC. Contact CHPHC leadership if you are interested in volunteering.

Communication Committee

The Communication and Outreach Committee is focused on the development and implementation of systems to enhance information sharing among individual CHPHC members and committees, as well as providing forums and products to enhance awareness of the consortium's activities among the CHD community, health professionals, and the general public. The various workgroups of the committee achieve synergy among the clinical, professional and patient/family stakeholders in relation to identified focus areas. Public Policy

The public policy committee aims to improve communication and information sharing regarding federal affairs and public policy related to the prevention, identification, and treatment of congenital heart defects in people of all ages. The committee strives to serve as a public policy information clearinghouse through the collection, documentation, and dissemination of relevant information. The committee is currently working to identify and catalog current federal policy and allocation information related to congenital heart defects. This information will be summarized and made available to participating organizations for use in organizational planning and collaboration outside of the Consortium.
