Federal Child Health Advocacy: A Look Back, A Look Ahead

The Academy serves as a leading voice for children in the nation's capital, working to advance federal policy priorities that support, protect and promote child health.

In September 2016, we released the Blueprint for Children: How the Next President Can Build a Foundation for a Healthy Future, outlining our priorities for the 45th presidential administration.

Since that time, the Academy's expertise has helped to protect foundational elements of child health policy and advance new initiatives in the interest of children. Looking ahead, the AAP will continue to pursue opportunities to advance bold new policies to improve the health of all children and defend the gains made thus far.
