Why voters should choose you?
Recent years have seen unprecedented challenges in practices across the country.
AAP addresses these challenges through its vital roles as an advocate for children and for pediatricians. Critical to these missions is effective and timely communication from its leadership. This past year, our president testified before congress and wrote a New York Times editorial advocating for pediatric COVID immunization. AAP membership, through the National Nominating Committee, helps identify leaders we need to further its mission.
It is my hope that my perspective as a general pediatrician in private practice might, in a small way, inform the work of the NNC.

Why voters should choose you?
The District Member represents the best interests of the District and its chapters at the national level, and meets National AAP‘s goal embracing equity and inclusion in our elections. The NNC District Member must understand the needs of all NYS pediatricians (rural, suburban and urban practices; employed and independent practitioners; academics and non-academics; and subspecialists); all are reflected in my background (pediatric practice in a rural town near Rochester, group independent practice in NYC, adolescent medicine faculty and practice). My past experience, and passion for equity for the District and its chapters, uniquely qualify me for this position.
