Sandeep Narang, MD, JD, FAAP,  is a child abuse pediatric specialist and a professor of pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin.  He has served as a General Medical Officer on the USS Sacramento (AOE-1) during Operation Iraqi Freedom, a Department Head of Pediatrics at the Great Lakes Health Clinic in North Chicago, and as a Fellowship Director for Child Abuse Pediatrics at the University of Texas Health Science Centers—San Antonio & Houston. He assumed the position of Division Head of Child Abuse Pediatrics at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago in July 2015. Dr. Narang is board certified in both General Pediatrics and Child Abuse Pediatrics, and has published on various medical and legal topics pertaining to Child Abuse. He is recognized as a national and international expert in Child Abuse and Neglect, with a specific emphasis in Abusive Head Trauma and Medico-legal Aspects of Child Maltreatment. 

Barrie Rich, MD

Barrie Rich, MD received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University with a major in mathematics. She received her MD from New York University School of Medicine. She completed her general surgery training at NewYork Presbyterian Weill Cornell with two years of research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and The Rockefeller University. She went on to complete her fellowship in pediatric surgery at Cohen Children’s Medical Center where she is now an Associate Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. She is board certified in both General and Pediatric Surgery. She has a clinical and research interest in pediatric surgical oncology as well as the management of benign and malignant ovarian masses in children and adolescents. She is a member of the Germ Cell Tumor Committee of the Children’s Oncology Group.
