Sonia Taneja, MD, MSc, is a PGY-2 pediatrics resident in the Boston Combined Residency Program (Urban Health and Advocacy Track) at Boston Children's Hospital and Boston Medical Center. She holds a master’s degree in public health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and an M.D. from the Yale School of Medicine, where she also completed additional training in community-based participatory research. Her interests lie at the intersection of poverty, mental health and reproductive health policy as well as in advancing racial justice through changes in healthcare delivery.

Thomas Kuriakose, MD, MA

Tom Kuriakose, MD, MA, is a PGY3 pediatrics resident in the Boston Combined Residency Program (Urban Health and Advocacy Track) at Boston Children's Hospital and Boston Medical Center. After spending three years as a high school teacher and coach with the Mississippi Teacher Corps, he attended medical school at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson in New Jersey. His professional interests lie in health disparities & equity, communication, and community-focused interventions to accomplish better health and education for children. He plans to continue his training as a pediatrician and advocate in PICU fellowship at Columbia University next year.
