Patricia G. Buzelli is a PhD Candidate at Duke University School of Nursing.  She has practiced as a nurse and nurse practitioner where she developed her expertise in hematology oncology.  Currently, Patricia studies the pediatric bereavement experiences of Latino families in the United States using decolonized research methodologies which challenge the inherently oppressive and pathologizing dominant discourses of mental health and well-being. Patricia’s goal is to promote social justice in grief through health equity in bereavement for immigrant and minoritized populations in the US. 

Monica Vinasco-Sandford, CHI

Monica Vinasco-Sandford is a senior medical interpreter at Boston Children’s Hospital. She is a CCHI Nationally Certified Healthcare Interpreter with extensive experience working in the hospital and medical health care industry.  She has volunteered and consulted for nonprofits, bereavement researchers and GOCs. She is passionate about facilitating language justice for underserved patients and families and community outreach. 

Elaine P. Lin, MD, FAAP

Dr. Elaine Lin is a complex care pediatrician at Boston Children's Hospital and assistant professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Lin is chairperson of the AAP Section on Home Care and has served on the executive committee for 10 years. She is co-director of the Cerebral Palsy and Spasticity Center at Boston Children's Hospital and incorporates home visits with trainees and home care agencies as part of her clinical practice.
