Dr. Alice Kuo is a professor and Chief of Medicine-Pediatrics and Preventive Medicine at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She is Principal Investigator of the Autism Research Consortium on Physical Health and Director of the University of California Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities program. For the AAP, she is Policy Co-Chair of the Council on School Health, Chair of the Autism Subcommittee of the Council on Children with Disabilities and Associate Editor of General Pediatrics for Pediatric Care. She is also the mother of four teenagers, three of whom are neurodivergent.
Scott Carney, MD, FAAP

Dr. Scott Carney is a practicing pediatrician at Prisma Health in Columbia, South Carolina. His research interests include children with complex medical conditions, pediatric hospital medicine and graduate medical education. He currently serves as Academic Vice Chair for Prisma Health/University of South Carolina School of Medicine – Columbia in the Department of Pediatrics. Other leadership positions include memberships on the National Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship Directors Council, the AAP Education in Quality Improvement for Pediatric Practice advisory board, the AAP PREP Hospital Medicine editorial board as well as the AAP PediaLink Editorial Board.
