Dr. Kemper is the Division Chief of Primary Care Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Professor of Pediatrics at the Ohio State University College of Medicine.  Dr. Kemper serves as the Chair of the Evidence Review Workgroup for the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Advisory Committee on Heritable Disorders in Newborns and Children and is the Deputy Editor of Pediatrics. 

Susan J. Kressly, MD, FAAP

Dr Susan J. Kressly is the 2025 AAP President.  

She is a general pediatrician and clinical informaticist whose clinical career spanned more than 30 years in independent practice, including a medical home she founded in order to better serve her community. Dr. Kressly’s career includes championing pediatric health information technology and working with pediatricians across the country to optimize care delivery, quality, payment and value. She describes herself as a fierce advocate for children and pediatricians.
