Andrea Cruz, MD, MPH, FAAP

Dr. Andrea Cruz is a professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine.  She is research chief for pediatric emergency medicine, the Texas Children’s principal investigator for the Pediatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network (PECARN), and director of the Texas Children’s Hospital Childhood Tuberculosis Clinic. Dr. Cruz has over 200 publications, focused predominantly on childhood TB, sepsis, and the evaluation and management of children with infectious diseases in the emergency department. Dr. Cruz is the deputy editor of the journal Pediatrics

Hans Kersten, MD, FAAP

Dr. Hans Kersten is a board-certified pediatrician. He was the medical director for the Grow Clinic (for children with faltering weight) and is a pediatrician at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. Dr. Kersten is a member of the Mayor’s Lead Poisoning Primary Prevention Task Force in Philadelphia, is an advisory committee member of Reach Out and Read Greater Philadelphia and is the chair for American Academy of Pediatrics’ Clinical Practice Guideline on Faltering Weight.
