Andrea Cruz, MD, MPH, FAAP

Dr. Andrea Cruz is a professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine.  She is research chief for pediatric emergency medicine, the Texas Children’s principal investigator for the Pediatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network (PECARN), and director of the Texas Children’s Hospital Childhood Tuberculosis Clinic. Dr. Cruz has over 200 publications, focused predominantly on childhood TB, sepsis, and the evaluation and management of children with infectious diseases in the emergency department. Dr. Cruz is the deputy editor of the journal Pediatrics. 

Tim Geleske, MD, FAAP

Dr. Tim Geleske is a board-certified primary care pediatrician. He is an assistant professor of clinical pediatrics at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine.  Dr. Geleske has worked on several AAP committees in the area of medical home, newborn screening, and genetics in primary care. He presented the AAP on the U.S Secretary of Health and Human Service’s Advisory Committee on Hereditable Disorders in Newborns and Children and served on the State of Illinois Governor’s Advisory Committee on Metabolic and Genetic Diseases. He served as Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Northwest Community Hospital and as a member of the Medical Executive Committe for Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and Northwest Community Hospital.
