Dr. Alex Kemper is the Division Chief of Primary Care Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Professor of Pediatrics at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Kemper serves as the Chair of the Evidence Review Workgroup for the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Advisory Committee on Heritable Disorders in Newborns and Children and is the Editor of Pediatrics.
Jesse Hackell, MD, FAAP

Jesse Hackell, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician who practiced in Rockland County, N.Y., for 41 years until his retirement in June 2022.
He is chair of the AAP’s Committee on Practice and Ambulatory Medicine (COPAM) and has served on the executive committee of the Section on Administration and Practice Management (SOAPM). He is currently the chair of the Committee on Pediatric Workforce. He is the immediate past president of Chapter 3 of the New York State AAP and serves as the chairman of the New York Chapter 3 Pediatric Council. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at New York Medical College.
He has extensive experience in practice management issues and has lectured at the AAP NCE and other forums on legal topics in practice management and practice growth and merger opportunities. He has co-authored the AAP Clinical Report entitled “Countering Vaccine Hesitancy” and numerous policy statements including Immunization Information Systems, Telehealth, and Adolescent Confidentiality.
