Lewis First, MD, MS, FAAP, is Professor and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Vermont (UVM) Larner College of Medicine, Chief of Pediatrics at the UVM Children’s Hospital, and editor-in-chief of the AAP’s peer-reviewed journal Pediatrics. Dr. First also educates the public weekly as a broadcaster and columnist with his “First with Kids” segments that appear on radio, television, and in local newspapers.
Kathleen Kieran, MD, MSc, MME, FAAP

Kathleen Kieran, MD, MSc, MME, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatric urologist at Seattle Children’s Hospital and a professor of urology at the University of Washington. Dr. Kieran is the Program Director of the Pediatric Urology Fellowship program. Her clinical interests include general and prenatal urology, and her research interests include health care disparities, impact of public health initiatives on pediatric urologic health, and teaching and optimizing communication skills in surgeons.
