Antoinette L. Laskey, MD, MPH, MBA, FAAP, is a professor of pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine and the division chief of the Center for Safe and Healthy Families at Primary Children’s Hospital. She is the fellowship director of the Child Abuse Pediatrics fellowship at the University of Utah and the Medical Director of the Children’s Justice Centers of Utah. Dr. Laskey’s clinical interests relate to the evaluation and management of the potentially abused child, and her research interests include cognitive errors in decision making related to child maltreatment.

Emma Omoruyi, MD, MPH, FAAP, is an Associate Professor in the Division of Community and General Pediatrics at The John P. and Kathrine G. McGovern Medical School associated with the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She served as the Associate Program Director focused on Quality Improvement, Global Health and Advocacy Education for pediatric residents for five years before transitioning to the Program Director position in 2021. She is an active member of the Association of Pediatric Program Directors (APPD) and is the immediate past-Chair of the Underrepresented in Pediatric GME learning committee and helped co-found the APPD pathway program to increase diversity in Academic Pediatrics (Advancing Inclusiveness in Medical Education Scholars program). She is the 2022 recipient of the Academic Pediatric Association Mid-Career Teaching Award for Faculty.
