Dr. Rohit Shenoi is a professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and an attending physician at the Emergency Center at Texas Children’s Hospital. Dr. Shenoi has a long-standing interest in injury prevention. He is a CDC-funded researcher and has authored several research papers and reviewed articles and book chapters on drowning and drowning prevention. Dr. Shenoi contributed to the U.S. National Water Safety Action Plan (2023).
Robert Vinci, MD, FAAP

Dr. Robert Vinci is an assistant dean in the Student Affairs Office at the Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. He has been a member of the Boston University and Boston Medical Center (previously Boston City Hospital) community for over 40 years, most recently serving as the chief and chair of pediatrics and as the Joel and Barbara Alpert Professor of Pediatrics. A national leader in pediatric medical education, Dr. Vinci, along with Frederick H. Lovejoy, MD, established the Boston Combined Pediatric Residency Program (BCRP), a partnership between Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) and BMC, creating one of the nation’s leading pediatric residency programs. Bob has held numerous leadership positions, serving on the board of directors for the Association of Pediatric Program Directors and representing the APPD as a member of the program committee for the Pediatric Academic Societies meeting, where he chaired the Section of Medical Education from 2013 to 2018. Dr. Vinci is currently on the board of directors for the American Board of Pediatrics and recently served on the board of directors for the Association of Medical School Pediatric Department Chairs (AMSPDC).
