Dr. First is Professor and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Vermont (UVM) Larner College of Medicine, Chief of Pediatrics at the UVM Children’s Hospital, and editor-in-chief of the AAP’s peer-reviewed journal Pediatrics. Dr. First also educates the public weekly as a broadcaster and columnist with his “First with Kids” segments that appear on radio, television, and in local newspapers.
Alex R. Kemper, MD, MPH, MS, FAAP
Dr. Kemper is the Division Chief of Primary Care Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Professor of Pediatrics at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Kemper serves as the Chair of the Evidence Review Workgroup for the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Advisory Committee on Heritable Disorders in Newborns and Children and is the Deputy Editor of PEDIATRICS.
Jenny Radesky, MD, FAAP
Dr. Radesky is a Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Michigan Medical School. She received her M.D. from Harvard Medical School, trained at Seattle Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center, and her clinical work focuses on developmental and behavioral conditions in low-income and underserved populations. Her NIH-funded research focuses on the use of mobile/interactive technology by parents and young children and how this relates to child self-regulation and parent-child interaction. She was the lead author of the AAP policy statements Media and Young Minds in 2016 and Digital Advertising to Children in 2020.
