The American Academy of Pediatrics, along with the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Physicians, and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, has partnered with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on the "Talk with Your Doctor" initiative. This initiative is part of CDC's national media campaign titled Tips from Former Smokers. 

The "Talk with Your Doctor" initiative encourages physicians and other health care providers to  discuss cessation in the practice setting.   The following resources can help:
